The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested two notorious armed robbers terrorising the nation’s capital.
SP Josephine Adeh, the command’s spokesperson, said in a statement on Sunday that the arrest came in response to a distress call on March 27 about an “ongoing robbery” at Royal Court Estate, Jahi II.
She stated that when the operatives arrived at the scene, the hoodlums engaged them in a gun battle.
The statement revealed that the suspects were subdued by the police operatives’ superior firepower and tried to escape, but sustained gunshot injuries in the process.

“A hot pursuit ensued, leading to the arrest of two suspects — Rabiu Jubril and Ibrahim Isa – both residents of Tipper Garage, Jahi”, she added.
The police spokesperson confirmed that two locally made firearms, along with three suspected stolen vehicles— a black Toyota Matrix (Reg. No. NBS 348 CP), a black Toyota Venza (Reg. No. ABJ 105 AV), and a grey Lexus IS350 (Reg. No. RSH 295 CB)— were recovered from the suspects.
Additional items recovered from the suspects include two MacBook Pro laptops, one Lenovo laptop, an iPad, a PS4 gaming console, a Canon IP1224 camera, and a drone camera.
“The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
“The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale, urges residents to take proactive security measures, particularly by installing tracking devices in their vehicles.
“This significantly enhances recovery efforts in the unfortunate event of theft or robbery,” the statement added.
