Arsenal’s small remaining hope of a first Premier League title for 21 years was diminished after a 1-1 draw at Everton on Saturday.
Leandro Trossard’s opener for the Gunners was cancelled out by Iliman Ndiaye’s penalty to leave Arsenal still 11 points behind Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
The Reds now need just 11 points from their remaining eight games to secure a record-equalling 20th English top-flight title.
Everton equalised when they were awarded a penalty a minute into the second half Myles Lewis-Skelly bundling over Jack Harrison inside the box and Iliman Ndiaye nervelessly stroking in the spot-kick.
The Toffees were rejuvenated after a poor first half showing and Abdoulaye Doucoure forced David Raya into a sharp save low down while at the other end, Rice’s thunderous free-kick was batted away by England team-mate Pickford.

Neither side were able to find a winning goal as Everton provided a boost to local rivals Liverpool by claiming a point.
Everton climb to 14th place with 35 points from their 31 matches, 15 points clear of the relegation zone.
Speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta expressed frustration over the referee.
He said: “We were very much in control of the match. We were hoping in the second half to continue the domination but out of nothing the referee decides to give a penalty.
“I have seen it 15 times – in my opinion it is never a penalty.
“They [Everton] are very good at what they do. We gave away so many silly fouls which led to set-pieces. They generated nothing at all.”
