Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has officially returned to Instagram following her failed marriage and time in rehabilitation.
On Thursday, the mother of two shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram page expressing gratitude to her family and friends for their unwavering support during her difficult times.
She appreciated the love she received and made it clear that she deeply values it.

However, one striking detail stood out—she no longer bears her ex-husband’s surname. In her closing remarks, she signed off as Annie Uwana Macaulay, dropping Idibia entirely.
She wrote, “To my family, to my friends who came through for me, to the support system I have now, to all my amazing family HERE and all over the world. God Bless you for the outpouring of love. I appreciate every single one of you, and I do not take any of it for granted. May the universe continue to be in your favour. God Bless You All. Lots of LOVE. Annie Uwana Macaulay.”
Her social media comeback follows 2Baba’s shocking announcement in January, where he revealed their separation via an Instagram post that read, “I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now and currently filed for divorce.” Although he later deleted the post, he went live to confirm the news, saying, “No one hacked my account. I said what I said. I come in peace.”
Their split became even more evident when they unfollowed each other on social media, marking the official end of one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity marriages. Annie, who starred in his African Queen video before their 2012 wedding, has openly spoken about the emotional toll of their relationship, including struggles with infidelity and personal challenges.
During an episode of Young, Famous & African, she shared the pain of experiencing a miscarriage and feeling sidelined in her own marriage.
Amid her struggles, blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus alleged that Annie was in rehab and in a very bad state. However, she reportedly had the support of singer Tiwa Savage and media personality Toke Makinwa, who stood by her during her most challenging moments.
2Baba appears to have moved on. In February, a viral video showed him proposing to Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, a Nigerian politician representing Egor Constituency in the 8th Edo State House of Assembly under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The proposal sparked outrage and mixed reactions online.
On March 25, another video surfaced showing him and Natasha shopping at Seyi Vodi’s fashion store, where she was heard saying, “Came shopping. Wearing this to parliament on Monday.”
