Super Eagles forward, Umar Sadiq’s backheel goal against Osasuna has been named LaLiga Goal of the Month for March.
Sadiq pulled an incredible finish with his back to goal that helped Valencia secure a 3-3 draw at El Sadar .
Valencia trailed 3-2 two minutes from time, Sergi Canos crossed the ball into the box, Sadiq rose with his back to the goal and connected with a backheel shot that beat Osasuna goalkeeper.
It’s the first time Sadiq will be winning the LaLiga Goal of the Month award.
This was disclosed in a publication via LaLiga’ official website on Wednesday.

The statement partly reads: “Umar Sadiq, the Nigerian player from Valencia CF, has been chosen for his back-heeled goal against CA Osasuna as the Best LALIGA EA SPORTS Goal of March.
“The striker conjured up the most spectacular goal of the whole month with an incredible finish with his back to goal that helped his team to scrape a 3-3 draw in their visit to El Sadar.
“The match was going 3-2 to Osasuna and it was the 88th minute of the game when, after a cross into the area from Sergi Canós, Sadiq rose with his back to the goal and connected with a back-heeled shot that surprised the opposition goalkeeper and established the final 3-3 draw for his team.”
