Nigerian singer Skales has shown gratitude to music executive Banky W for covering his university tuition.
On Thursday, Skales took to X to share a photo of his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration certificate, mentioning that while he graduated from Lead City University years ago, he only recently obtained it.

Skales honoured his mother with the certificate and expressed gratitude to Banky W for his support.

“Aye, my BSc showed up after many years of graduation,” he wrote.
“This is for my mother and thank you to @BankyW for sponsoring the boy through school.”
Skales rose to fame after emerging as the winner of the North Central region in the 2008 Zain Tru Search contest.
In 2009, he joined Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) record label, signing alongside well-known artistes such as Wizkid and Niyola.
Banky W, who co-established E.M.E with Tunde Demuren in 2002, has been instrumental in shaping the careers of numerous successful Nigerian artistes.
Alongside his role as a music executive, Banky W has enjoyed a successful music career, releasing his debut album, Back in the Building, in 2005.
Banky W gained widespread recognition with hits like ‘Ebute Metta,’ earning numerous awards for his work. In addition to his music career, he also ventured into politics.
