Nigeria’s basketball senior male team, D’Tigers has concluded the FIBA AfroBasket qualifiers, final window with a 77-62 victory over Cape Verde, securing their third consecutive win.
The historic victory on Sunday, marked the Nigeria’s side first triumph over Cape Verde in their last four encounters, having previously suffered four consecutive losses.
Caleb Agada led the charge for the third straight game, dominating the stat sheet with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Meanwhile, Talib Zanna added 13 points, while Captain Ike Nwamu chipped in with 11 points.
Also, Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu pulled down a team-high 9 rebounds, accompanied by 7 points.
The Nigerian team, defeated hosts Libya 75-70 in their opening game on Friday, recovered from a half-time deficit to record it’s second consecutive victory in the final qualifying window.
Recall that on Saturday, they also beat Uganda 87-67 to move to the second place of the qualifying group.
