Social media critic Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has alleged that the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), a prominent Christian organisation, has taken interest in his legal dispute with gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
It should be noted that Verydarkman’s conflict with Mercy Chinwo began after he got involved in her legal dispute with her former manager, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, also known as EeZee Tee.
VDM’s actions sparked online criticism against Mercy Chinwo, leading her legal team to refute his claims and take legal action. They filed a defamation lawsuit against him, seeking ₦1.1 billion in damages.

Although VDM is currently in China, a court in Nigeria has issued an arrest warrant against him.
Reports indicate that the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has weighed in on Mercy Chinwo’s legal battle, encouraging a peaceful resolution. The organisation reportedly expressed worry over the possible negative impact the public dispute could have on the gospel music industry and its leadership.
The PFN allegedly called on Mercy Chinwo and VDM to handle their dispute with humility and a mindset of reconciliation. The group also cautioned against decisions that might negatively affect the church’s reputation.
In a video shared on his Instagram page on Sunday, VDM responded by stating that he had no interest in reconciling with Mercy Chinwo. He insisted that he wanted the legal proceedings to continue.
He partly said, “I don’t want to reconcile with anyone; I want the court process to go on. You know why? It is going to expose a lot of things. Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, it’s too late. You people are just putting mouth when you could have solved the issues between Eezee Tee and Mercy Chinwo. But because she is your star, you didn’t.”
