The agency’s heat stress warning on Tuesday indicates that rising temperatures and high humidity over the next three to four days could lead to thermal discomfort in many areas.
The agency highlighted that the rising temperatures could lead to fatigue, irritability, difficulty concentrating, reduced motor skills, and a drop in productivity.
It advised residents in the impacted areas to take necessary safety measures.
“Stay cool by using fans, air conditioning, or shaded spaces, and dress light by wearing breathable clothing.
“Drink plenty of water, avoid peak sun hours (12 PM – 3 PM). VU Use sun protection like hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen.”
