A 46-year-old woman, Anelle de Bruin, has been arrested for allegedly plotting to kill her husband, a farmer, in a staged farm attack.
She was taken into custody on January 9 but later released on bail of R2,000. Reports indicate that she hired a hitman and paid him to carry out the murder so she could inherit R50 million.
De Bruin is scheduled to appear in court again on April 23.
