Dr Ezekiel ThankGod, the owner of gospel record label Eezee Conceptz, has spoken out following lawsuits from his former artists, Mercy Chinwo and JudiKay.
Kemi Filani reported that Judi, who parted ways with Eezee five years ago, had charged Eezee to court for allegedly diverting $264,000 belonging to her following the Independent Auditor’s report. A report by an independent audit firm, Person Consulting, concluded that a total of the above-mentioned amount generated from various platforms, including YouTube, was not remitted to JudiKay by Eezee.
The report was forwarded to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and Eezee Tee was charged to court on three courts. The case is currently before the Federal High Court of Nigeria.
Reacting to the suit via his Instagram page, Eezee claimed that he reached out to some persons hoping to resolve the matter amicably, but they shut their doors on him. He stated that he was willing to sacrifice for the sake of the Body of Christ, yet, was told by a notable pastor that the Body of Christ was fine.
Eezee revealed that he was shattered by such a statement and questioned how he was supposed to keep quiet while his reputation was being attacked, his sacrifices disregarded, and his life threatened. He stated that if their goal is to destroy him, they’ve underestimated his resolve.

“I reached out to some, hoping to resolve this matter amicably. Many of them shut their doors and refused to intervene, despite knowing the truth. I was even willing to sacrifice for the sake of the Kingdom (The Body of Christ). Yet, I was told by a notable pastor, “The Body of Christ will be fine”.
That statement shattered me. How could I stay quiet while my reputation was being attacked, my sacrifices disregarded, and my life threatened? If their goal is to destroy me, they’ve underestimated my resolve….”.
A day back, Eezee had accused Mercy Chinwo of manipulating institutions to bully him despite the $625,000 she had received from his record label. He pointed out the irony at which she sings gospel songs about Jesus, yet her actions paint a different picture. Exposing her for her lies, he accused Mercy of weaponizing law enforcement and religious organizations in a bid to take over a catalogue she didn’t spend money on and yet, had received huge money from.
In 2022, Mercy Chinwo broke ties with her music record label, Eezee Concepts, over a disagreement between her and her Boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu Thankgod. The gospel musician had shared a cryptic message, begging God to protect her from dishonest people.
Mercy Chinwo, her music record label, and her music record label boss had also unfollowed each other on Instagram further fueling breakup rumors.
Following the split with her label, Mercy Chinwo and her label mate, Minister GUC had unfollowed each other on Instagram. GUC had posted a shady post about ungrateful people, which many believe was aimed at Mercy Chinwo.
Veteran actress, Hilda Dokubo had shaded Mercy Chinwo for biting the fingers that fed her. Hilda stated that one might think they know someone fully well until they allow them to earn power, fame, and fortune.
Last year, music producer Dr Roy shared his ordeal working with Mercy Chinwo. He recounted how he once asked her for help when his father had a stroke and she looked away and told him that his father would be healed.
