May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has been left overwhelmed and honored as she bags another award.
The mother of four was honored with the Brand Ambassador of the Year award at the just concluded Nigerian Social Media Awards. Though the fast-rising ambassador and influencer weren’t available to receive the award, her daughter, Danielle, had stood in the gap for her.
Taking to her Instagram page, May expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her family members and online family for their encouragement and unwavering support which made it happen. She also gave thanks to all the brands working with her for allowing her to represent their organizations. She noted how without them, the achievement wouldn’t be possible.
May Edochie stated that the award means more to her than just a recognition of my efforts, as it is a testament to the power of collaboration, perseverance, and passion.

In September, she was honored with an award for her impact as one of the leading women in Africa by Imperial Leo Group Network. She appreciated the organizers of the award, as she expressed how honored and grateful she was, stating that the award was a testament to the power of education, hard work, and resilience. May appreciated the organizers for their commitment to celebrating women’s achievement and also appreciated other honorees.
Last year, May expressed gratitude to God after being decorated with the United Nations Eminate Peace Ambassador award. Sharing a clip from the event, May stated that it can only be God as she noted how his words came to pass.
May Edochie is no doubt proof that a woman can still keep winning after a divorce, as she found favor in the eyes of celebrities, Nigerians, and social media users.
Since her separation from Yul, May launched her own business, bagged endorsement deals, bagged awards, and even made her acting debut.
Last year, she hit a million followers, and she stated that she has never seen anything like the love her fans and followers have for her. Questioning what kind of love that is, she praised them for being amazing as she noted how the atmosphere is filled with genuine celebrations and jubilations.
For her birthday this year, her fans had placed her face on the billboard at Times Square, New York. May questioned what else was the true definition of love as their sweet gesture had left her speechless.
To top it off, they gifted her a white Range Rover.
