Malawian content creator Hannah Jabes, populalry known as Tamia Ja, has caused a stir online after debuting a men’s hairstyle.
Known for her signature pencil line braids, Tamia Ja switched things up with a new look, inspired by a Brazilian football player.
Before revealing the style, Tamia anticipated that her bold choice would attract criticism. She addressed this on her Facebook account, stating that everyone should do what makes them happy.
She shared a picture of herself sporting the new men’s hairstyle with the caption: “Brother Tamia Ja. Everyone should do what they love. Looking more handsome than your boyfriends, Hair by Phil’s Touch Unisex Salon”.
The post has sparked conversations, with some speculating whether Tamia Ja may be part of the LGBTQ+ community due to her choice of a traditionally masculine haircut. However, she remains unapologetic, encouraging people to embrace their individuality.
