Malawian rising Amapiano artist Fada Moti, was struck in the head with a bottle during his performance on the night of October 13 at Pre-Mother’s Day Celebration , Biwi Culture Club in Lilongwe.
In a video circulating on social media, is showing the artist performing on stage when an unidentified person throws a beer bottle, hitting him.
The incident forced the artist to stop performing due to the pain caused by the impact of the bottle. It took the event organisers to convince Fada Moti to return and finish his performance.
One of the event organisers identified as DJ Snow, has since apologised to the artist, assuring him that such an incident won’t happen again.
“The person responsible for throwing the bottle was reportedly arrested that same night”,said Dj Snow.
Fada Moti has not made any public statement regarding the incident but posted a helmet emoji on his social media, seemingly in response to what happened.
A lot of musician have condemned the behaviour of such fans who always throw things when artist is performing on the stage, Toastt has encouraged Fada to deal with the fan man to man.
