Ghanaian Nollywood actor Van Vicker is celebrating his 21st wedding anniversary with his wife, Adjoa Van Vicker.
In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, he expressed gratitude to God as he noted how marriage is a bed of throning roses with extremely lovely times and trying moments. However, in all moments ‘The Will’ is key.
Van stated that getting married to the right person is critical as one has to know the person substantially and staying in love and not just loving your spouse is paramount. Revealing his secret to being married, he stated that the desire to want to stay married keeps him going.
The Ghanaian actor made it known that regardless of the thorns, love is still a beautiful thing, and he has no regrets about being married and staying married, as he expressed how lucky he is to have his wife by his side all these years.
“Today is my 21st wedding anniversary.
I am grateful to God.
Marriage is a bed of thorning roses
It has extremely lovely times and really trying moments.
In all moments, ‘THE WILL’ is key.
Getting married to the ‘right’ person is critical (knowing the person substantially).
Staying ‘in love’ is paramount (not just ‘loving’ your spouse)
And finally, for me, it’s ‘the desire’ to want to stay married (in the absence of abuse).
The culminated effect of these 3 points may transcend those thorns in the roses.
Pricky as they may be, however, the internal remedies are sufficient to let you move to the next day and the next and for years.
Regardless of the thorns love is STILL a beautiful thing.
