Social media users are reacting to a video of Nollywood actress and filmmaker Adanma Luke on vacation, barely 6 months after the death of her colleague, Junior Pope.
Refreshing your memory, Junior Pope and others lost their lives after drowning at Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a movie set produced by Adanma Luke on April 8th. Luke had received tons of backlash for not providing the actors with safety procedures, which led to their deaths.
Following his death, the filmmaker seems to be moving on with her life as she was spotted on vacation with her colleagues, Destiny Etiko and Uju Okoli. In a video posted online by Uju, the trio was seen living their best life and enjoying the finest things in life.
As expected, the video triggered reactions as many noted how the person who dies, is the one who fucked up.

In her first public statement, she disclosed that she had been left traumatised over the order as she blamed herself for returning to Asaba as she was supposed to be on that boat with them and her brother’s 2 kids. She clarified that contrary to reports, she had provided life jackets for them and revealed that the unfortunate incident still feels like a dream to her, which she hopes she can wake up from.
In another post, Adanma addressed the false allegations made against her as she made it known since their death, she had been actively collaborating with the families to provide necessary funds. She noted how she is human and not heartless.
In August, less than four months after the incident, the Actors Guild of Nigeria had unbanned Adanma Luke, after suspending her and all movies involving riverine areas and boat riding.
Recently, Adanma lashed out at a woman who accused her of killing Junior Pope and wished her 6-month-old baby death. She made the troll know that she wasn’t afraid of death and wouldn’t allow anyone to attack her baby. She noted how she had been insulted and called names even by those she was good to, but she didn’t react.
