“I Challenged The Power Of Mr. President To Appoint Service Chiefs Without NASS Approval” – Keyamo

Former minister of the federal republic of Nigeria and chieftain of the all progressives congress, Festus Keyamo has expressed his satisfaction and delight over the fact that he once challenged the power of Mr president to appoint his service chiefs without approval and won.

According to Festus Keyamo, he is delighted with the appointments made so far by Mr president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu especially given the fact that the names of the appointees didn’t have to go through the national assembly for confirmation and approval.

Festus Keyamo referred to the former president Goodluck Jonathan’s era where appointments of service chiefs were made without necessarily going through the national assembly for confirmation.

Festus Keyamo stressed that he is pleased to see continuous compliance by the federal government with the decision of the court which granted that Mr president can appoint service chiefs without approval of the national assembly.

He wrote “I challenged the power of Mr. President to appoint service chiefs without the approval of the national assembly”.

He stated this via his official Twitter handle just a few moments ago while reacting to the recent appointment made by Mr president.
