In a tweet posted this morning by Mr. Daniel Bwala on his official Twitter account, claimed that a governor in the north-western geopolitical region was pushing for the appointment of Mr. Hadiza Bala Usman, a former managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister.
Remember that Bala accused Rotimi Amaechi, the former transportation minister, of acting against her when she was the managing director of the NPA, and the two have been at odds ever since.
The northern governor, however, wants her to be appointed as FCT Minister, but the members of Tinubu’s camp were so strongly opposed to her nomination that, as a result of the development, Bala might not be given a significant role in Tinubu’s government, according to the update provided by Bwala this morning.
He stated, “It is rumoured that a governor from the North-West is lobbying for the appointment of Hadiza Bala as FCT minister. An action that reportedly infuriated Tinubu’s camp. According to reports, the aforementioned demand jeopardized her prospects of receiving any sort of significant part at all.
