Gunmen Kill 2 US Embassy Staff, Set Them Ablaze In Anambra

Gunmen have reportedly killed two policemen and two staff of the United States Consulate and set their bodies ablaze Amiyi/Eke Ochuche communities in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The US Embassy staff were said to be on a humanitarian mission in the area when the gunmen ambushed their convoy and shot four people dead.
Some others were said to have sustained injuries as they escaped from the scene of the tragedy. The incident reportedly occurred around 3.30pm on Tuesday.

Tinubu Meets Kwankwaso On Peace Talk In France

President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has met with the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian People’s Party, NNPP, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso on a peace talk.
Vanguard gathered that the duo met for hours in Paris, capital of France, on Monday.
Recall that Kwankwaso came fourth in the 2023 presidentil election.
Gov Umahi’s Convoy Kills 3 People In Auto Crash In Ebonyi

The victims’ motorcycle and the Sienna car which were involved in the accident were reportedly damaged beyond repair.
The convoy of Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State on Tuesday killed three residents of Ezza South Local Government Area after crashing into the victims’ motorcycle.
The Punch reports that the casualties were struck by an advance team while they were on the route leading to Muhammadu Buhari’s International Airport in the Onueke area of the state.
It was gathered that the convoy had dropped Governor Umahi at the airport and was returning to Abakaliki, the state capital, when the tragic incident occurred.
16 Feared Dead In Taraba Chieftaincy Tussle

Taraba State Police Command has confirmed that 16 people were killed in a chieftaincy tussle between Karimjo and Wurkum ethnic groups in Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of the state.
Spokeperson of the command, SP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed to Daily Trust on Tuesday that 16 fatalities were recorded, adding that normalcy had returned to the area.
