It is common knowledge that after the presidential election in Nigeria, both Peter Obi, the third-place finisher for the Labour Party, and Atiku Abubakar, the second-place finisher for the PDP, filed petitions to challenge Bola Tinubu’s victory.
In an interview, Comrade Delly Ajufo, a leader of the Labour Party, asserted that the APC is specifically targeting Peter Obi’s petition, and not Atiku’s, due to something in it that is causing them unease.
Ajufo claimed that the APC has been maligning Peter Obi and conjecturing all sorts of things against him, even though there is no fault to be found with him personally.
He further stated that the APC’s sole ambition is to tarnish Peter Obi’s reputation and not the Labour Party as a whole.
In essence, Ajufo believes that the APC’s fixation on Peter Obi’s petition is indicative of their concern about something contained within it, which they are keen to disprove
