Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag have finally landed their long-awaited Brazilian target, Antony from Ajax and many would think that he will take the English Premier League by storm but the reverse will most likely be the case for the winger.
Below are the reasons why he may not be a success at Manchester United.
1.
Unlike other leagues, the English Premier League is a tough one for Brazilian dribblers and they tend not to play a full season because they always sustain injuries and EPL defenders always come hard on them just like Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal, they are both dribblers.
2.
The pressure of the high amount of fee paid for his transfer from Ajax to Old Trafford will be too much on him that he will not be able to withstand it and that will destabilise him.
3.
Finally, Cristiano Ronaldo’s shadow over him at United will make him not to be able to find his footing. He will be overshadowed and he may not be able to escape the psychological trauma which will inadvertently, make him a flop just like it did to Jadon Sancho.
He is a great player understandably but that could be for other leagues and not EPL.
