After beating Nantes by 2-1 on Match Day 3, Marseille got another vital points on the road following their emphatic win at Nice. Sanchez opened scoring in the 10th minute for Marseille after which Tavares Scored his 3rd goal of the season in the 37th minute to make it 0-2. However, Nice tried hard to get back their groove but Sanchez made it 0-3 to close the half on a great note for the visitors. Nice met their difficulty in the 2nd half after trying all they could but failed to get a consolation. Marseille win and kept all points after a scoreless second half.
Moussa Dembele was the saviour for Olympique Lyon in their 1 all draw encounter with Reims on Day 4 of the Ligue 1 season. Reims drew the first blood with Ito scoring for the Home side in the 24th minute after both sides went through hell breaking into each others goal. Reims were up to the challenge as they gave Lyon a run for their money. Lyon were only able equalise four minute from time through Dembele strike after Lopy had been sent off by the Referee to reduce Reims men to 10 on the field of play. It ended 1-1 but a night Reims wouldn’t want to see again.
Monaco were the first to hit the defending Champions, PSG in the 20th minutes through Volland’s strike, a goal that also settled the half in the midst of PSG’s expectations. Nonetheless, PSG were looking better in the 2nd half with better possession of the ball until Neymar scored his 6th goal of the season from the Penalty Spot to make it 1-1 for PSG in the 70th minute. The defending Champions really gave good account of themselves but nothing better than draw with Monaco, came their way. It ended 1-1 as Paris Saint Germain dropped 2 point.
Paris Saint Germain still maintain the top spot but with goals after sharing same 10 Points as Marseille and Lens on Day 4 while Lyon are 4th. Monaco are 12th with 5 points following their famous draw at Pac des Princes. Monaco will tackle Troyes in their Day 5 games while PSG will travel to Toulouse to continue defence of their Title.
