According to top Italian journalist, Gianluca DiMarzio, Chelsea have sent a bid for Russian wonderkid, Arsen Zakharyan.
The youngster’s agent, Pavel Andreev, has confirmed to Russia’s RB Sport that Chelsea’s approach is genuine and that a deal with the blues is close.
The 19-Year-Old is one of the brightest stars of Russian football and has played close to 50 matches for Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League.
Playing as an offensive midfielder, Arsen can also play on the left wing. His technical ability and playing style has earned him comparisons with world class midfielders like Kevin De Bruyne.
Despite his age, Arsen has won Dynamo Moscow’s best player of the year for two consecutive seasons and has earned four caps for Russia.
Last season, he scored nine goals and registered nine assists in 34 appearances for Dynamo Moscow.
Over the past 12 months, Zakharyan has been linked with several top European clubs Manchester City, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Roma.
With two years still remaining on his current contract with Dynamo Moscow, Chelsea appear to be on the verge of sealing a shock move for the highly talented playmaker.
Although he is only 19, Arsen is expected to be a signing for the first team of Chelsea and not for the academy.
He has already gained experience playing in the very difficult Russian league and with his qualities, Thomas Tuchel could really need his services.
We all know Chelsea lack creativity and a player with an eye for precision defense splitting passes. Arsen Zakharyan could very well be the solution to that problem.
