It’s Impressive How Chelsea New Owners Want To Go Extra Miles Having Spent Almost £200M This Summer

Chelsea Owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have been quite impressive with the ways they have handled the transfer of the West London club this summer.

There were a lot of skepticism about the possible actions of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capitals as the new Owners of Chelsea when the Takeover of the club was completed, especially the way they could handle the incoming Players.

The Blues top hierarchy had initially declared that they were going to invest £200million in the squad this summer to sign new Players. That money is a lot of money but it’s also not going to be enough if Thomas Tuchel was going to get the squad that he wants.

The Fans seems to have no hope or confidence in the stewardship of Todd Boehly after the Blues keep getting rejected by a lot of targets but Chelsea finally made some breakthrough when they signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling.

The addition of Marc Cucurella to the first team was faced by mixed reactions with a lot of figure criticising Todd Boehly for paying an hefty sum of money to sign a Player for a role that already had Ben Chilwell.

According to Independent UK, the new owners are reportedly happy with what they have achieved so far. They were on ground to witness the performance of their new Signings against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Both Marc Cucurella and Raheem Sterling got an assist while Kalidou Koulibaly got a goal. All of these reportedly excited the New owners as it meant that their investments had paid off.

The trio of Marc Cucurella, Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling cost Chelsea around £135million. The Blues have already spent about £40million for the combined transfer of Carney Chukwuemeka, Gabriel Slonina and Cesare Casadei, who are being seen as an investment for the future.

Despite the fact that the Blues New owners are poised to exceed their £200million budget, they still want to spend more. Chelsea are eyeballing Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Wesley Fofana as they look to prise the duo from Barcelona and Leicester City respectively. They are still in contention for Everton’s Anthony Gordon and Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong.

Chelsea could spend more than £300million this summer if they get all their targets but the Owners aren’t fazed by that as they are eager to spend more.
