Below are two ancient monuments discovered in Nigeria.

1. Sungbo’s Eredo

This wall is said to be many years old. It is located in the South-West geopolitical zone of Nigeria. This is because of the fact that this wall can be found in Ogun State. According to a report by The Guardian, this wall was constructed before the British colonial masters arrived in Nigeria. The Guardian estimates that the actual date of construction should be around 800 to 1000 AD.

2. The Dufuna Canoe

This is another important discovery that was made in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. According to a report by The Guardian, the Dufuna canoe is the oldest boat in African history. The Guardian also reports that this boat is more than 8,000 years old. It was discovered in the year 1987.
