Former Pure Water Hawker Ekuma Jeremiah Who Went Viral For Giving Money To Prisoners Shares New Photos From School

Ekuma Jeremiah, the pure water hawker who was caught on camera some months ago giving money to prisoners has shared photos of how he’s fairing in school.

In the video reel he shared, he was seen in school with some of his coursemates, and was beaming with smiles. In the video, he wrote that “second semester mood” has been activated, and expressed gratitude to God for everything.

In his caption, he said – “Thank you June. See you guys in July.”

Jeremiah had bought the hearts of Nigerians when he was seen giving money to prisoners in a Nigerian Correctional Service van. In an interview with The Punch, he had said that he had no ulterior motives for his actions, that he only considered himself to be in a better place than them, and that was the reason he decided to help them.

He also revealed that he was a Law student at Ebonyi State University before he dropped out due to financial constraints, then came to Lagos to look for what he could do.

Touched by Jeremiah’s kind gesture, the billionaire socialite, Obi Cubana, had announced his intention to sponsor Jeremiah’s education up to Masters level in any institution of his choice. He said that he wanted to be Jeremiah’s mentor.

While speaking in an Instagram live session with Daddy Freeze then, Obi Cubana said that when Jeremiah is done with school, he would get a top-level position in any of his organizations, but if he however finds a higher calling, he is free to do so.

Apart from the scholarship, the young man was also placed on a monthly allowance of N100,000.

Soon after that, arrangements were made for Jeremiah to return to school in Ebonyi State and complete his first degree in Law.

It is interesting to see that the young man is doing fine in school, and we are looking forward to when he will graduate.
