No Premier League side has won more trophies since 2002 than Chelsea. The blues won the UEFA Champions League title in 2021 and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2022. They actually had a chance to win the League Cup and FA Cup in the 2021–2022 season, but they fell to Liverpool in the cup finals of both domestic competitions. The only team in the Premier League with more than 15 titles in the past 20 years is still Chelsea. They are therefore the most prosperous Premier League team in the previous two decades.
Although they succeeded in doing so under Roman Abramovich, there is no assurance that the Premier League team would uphold its pledge to do so now that the club has been sold to Todd Boehly. Manchester City, the second-most successful club in the past 20 years, won the Premier League in 2021–2022. The sky blue team also won the Premier League title the previous campaign, giving them four titles in the previous five years.
The team of Pep Guardiola has won 13 trophies in the last 20 years and needs four more to match Chelsea’s record. But in the same amount of time, Manchester City and Manchester United have both won the same number of trophies. Despite not having a title since 2017, the Red Devils have the same number of titles as their noisy Premier League neighbors.
The next teams on the list are both Arsenal and Liverpool from the Premier League. At Wembley Stadium, Liverpool defeated Chelsea to win two domestic cup finals. They have nine trophies in the last twenty years, just like Arsenal, thanks to these victories. The reason Arsenal was unable to increase their lead, is that they did not take home any silverware in the 2021/22 campaign.
