Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the presidential running mate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was recently interviewed by Seun Okinlaboye of Channels Television concerning the fast approaching presidential election.
Before the interview proper, Seun Okinlaboye asked of the tribe of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa because of the ‘Ifeanyi’ in his name and he responded saying, “I am an Igbo man and an Igbo man will soon become the President of Nigeria.”
Furthermore, the Vice Presidential running mate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, said, “it is obvious with the records available that the North east and south east are yet to become Nigeria’s president since 1999.”
According to him, if the PDP eventually comes into power in 2023, issues such as zoning of political power will definitely be looked into. He said, “we all need to understand that the claims made by people of the South East and North East are right claims.”
