The Difference Between Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, Business Class And First Class Flight

Over the years various airline industries have introduced many innovative amenities that will entice passengers to fly from point A to B. One of these is the introduction of different cabin classes, which I’ll be highlighting the difference between them according to cheapflights.com;

1. Economy class

This is the most basic class of all, the seats in this class are narrow and the distance from one seat to the next seat that is either in front or behind it (the legroom), ranges from 30 to 34 inches. Most airlines serve free beverages and snacks and offer an in-flight entertainment system in this class.

2. Premium economy class

This class is slightly comfier than the basic economy class as it offers more legroom to passengers, a wider seat, a larger TV screen, better luggage allowance and a larger selection of food than economy class.

Most times the premium economy is usually located in a different cabin from the economy class, so in essence, it offers additional perks and more amenity kits.

3. Business class

Also known as an executive class, in this class, you get to enjoy a wider seat which can be reclined back; some can even be reclined to a fully lie-flat seat, you’re served a multi-course meal and there is even a bar area with a bartender.

In simple terms business class is much better than the aforementioned two, some airlines have even increased the quality of business class that they are beginning to replace first-class with business class. When you fly in business class some airlines even give a chauffeured pick-up and drop-off service if you stay within some distance of the airport.

4. First Class

This class is the pinnacle of a luxurious air journey, first-class cabin offers lots of luxuries like free spa service such as massage, a hotel-like private suite where you can sleep, and a lie-flat seat which is very adjustable and has a massage feature and a top-quality meal service.

An article written on momondo.com, states that this class is usually reserved for the super-rich and celebrities. Bear in mind that most first-class cabins don’t have many seats rather they usually come in a 3-room suite with a living room, bedroom and a private bathroom with a shower.
