15 year old Victor Adetunji crowned Africa’s MathChampion 2022

The Cruxlearning Mathematics Contest Africa (CLMCA) for the year 2022 has ended with the finals on Sunday, 1st May 2022. The contest took place among ten thousand (10,000) SS2 students from 24 African countries in the world with Victor Adetunji emerging as the winner of the competition. 

Victor Adetunji known as “Root” was recently declared the Africa’s Mathematics Champion after coming out with the highest point among 18 contestants who were shortlisted for the competition. He is a student of the International School University of Ibadan born to parents who were lecturers in the university. During the competition, he survived two evictions but made it to the final stage with six other students and topped the list. For achieving this great feat, he was awarded $5,000 worth of University scholarship. Contestants who took the second and third place were also awarded a University scholarship worth $2,500 and $1,500 respectively.
