God Didn’t Kill Hophni & Phineas Because Of Their Sins-Pst. Suleman Says As He Reveals Why They Died

The Nigerian Televangelist & General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman told his congregation the connection between the birth of Samuel in the Bible to the death of the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phineas.

Hophni and Phinehas or Phineas were the two sons of Eli. The first book of Samuel describes them as the officiating priests at the sanctuary of Shiloh at the time of Hannah. In the biblical narrative, Hophni and Phinehas are criticised for engaging in illicit behaviour, such as appropriating the best portion of sacrifices for themselves, and having sexual relations with the sanctuary’s serving women.

But the General Overseer has a different view on the story, saying they weren’t killed because of their sins. According to him, they were killed for not accepting God’s call.

According to Apostle Johnson Suleman from the video posted on YouTube minutes ago: “What you call delay as far as God is concerned is called strategizing. Hannah was crying that a child was not coming. Meanwhile what was God doing? He was giving Hophni and Phineas time to accept is instruction. What was the instruction? They were to take over from their father, Prophet Eli at the temple. They refused and they were busy enjoying themselves. God told them to accept His call or He will raise up a new General that will take their place in the temple.

“Hophni and Phineas refused to adhere to what the Lord told them. God was so merciful by giving them a long time to accept His call but they still refused, keeping Hannah waiting on the other side.

“To Hannah it was a delay but to God, it was a strategy. After God saw that their hearts have been sealed, He killed them and brought up a General called Samuel.

“God is strategizing your situation so that when the results start coming, no one can deny it”.
