Swoboda who is the current world leader in the 60 meters this year with a time of 7.00 seconds defeated Elaine Thompson with a time of 7.03 seconds at the Copernicus Cup in Torun, Poland. She defeated the Olympic Champion by one-hundredth of a second as the Champion finished second with a time of 7.04 seconds, while her fellow polish sprinter, Pia Skrzyszowska finished in third place with a Personal Best of 7.14 seconds and Daryll Neita in 4th with 7.17 seconds.(Elaine Thompson-Herah, Photo Credit: Google)
Recall that since after the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Elaine Thompson has only been beaten once in a race and she was beaten by her compatriot, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.
With all you’ve read above, do you think Elaine Thompson-Herah’s loss to Swoboda will be a cause for concern?
