Frankly, Phil Foden is indeed a generational talent, but he’s not better than Pedri González based on their statistics in the 2021-2022 campaign. Aside from that, the Xavi Hernández’s man just came back from injury, and he has started making waves in the squad, as regards his 30-minute display against Valencia on Sunday.
Statistically, Phil Foden (27 games) has been involved in 9 games for Manchester City this season, whilst Pedri González (11 games) has scored only 2 goals. Aside from that, the Englishman usually has 14.8 lost possessions, 59.46% successful dribbles, a 21.43% conversion rate, 57.14% shot accuracy, 45.16% ground duels, and 3.5 ball recoveries per game.
Of course, the two players are almost the same height, but still, the Barcelona youngster (50%) won more aerial duels than the Pep Guardiola’s man (9.52%). In all fairness, there’s no need to compare Foden and Pedri together, as the Spaniard is obviously better than the English young wizard.
