UCL: Why UEFA Should Use The Robot Referee Used At The Club World Cup Final In The UCL Final

Chelsea emerged as the winners of the Club World Cup final against Palmeiras as they won the final in a 2-1 win. The goals from Romelu Lukaku and Kai Havertz was enough to secure the victory for Chelsea.

FIFA adopted the use of the Robot Referee in the FIFA Club World Cup final, and Chelsea happens to be the first English and European team to witness the use of the Robot Referee. The Robot Referee was invented by FIFA to speed up decision making around marginal offside.

UEFA should also adopt the use of the Robot Referee by first using it in the UEFA Champions League final. Here is why.

The Robot Referee recorded a hundred percent accurate offside call recorded in the FIFA Club World Cup final, and there was no controversy of any sort. Making use of the Robot Referee in the UEFA Champions League Final would help in making accurate offside call during the match, as it has already been programmed to do so, which would help prevent Controversial Referee decisions in the match.
