This morning, the Mombasa Road was blocked at Masimba Area where residents were protesting the invasion of wild animals into their daily activities with the government taking no action.

Transport activities were paralyzed for the better part of the morning with some vehicles reporting that they had been stoned by the residents who were protesting on the busy road.
The residents of Masimba Area which is found in Kajiado County, had decried the rise in animal to human conflicts that have been rampant in the area as per the reports.
This afternoon, according to Citizen TV News, three people have been shot dead by the authorities after the protests turned deadly a few moments ago.
Eight others have been seriously injured in the commotion that happened in Masimba Along the Mombasa Highway this afternoon.
The reasons for the shooting are still unclear as details from the scene are still scanty but three people have been confirmed dead from the gunshots at the protests.
It’s unclear as to why such force would be metted on the residents of the quiet area who took to the Highway to block and express their plight.
