After a public uproar on the academic qualification and certification of Kakamega county senator honourable Cleophas Malala, United States international university (USIU) have finally responded to the allegations that the said Senator graduated from their university in 2019 with Bachelor of science in technology.
Through a letter shared by TUKO news verified facebook page, USIU have indicated that Cleophas Malala was not their student and they don’t want to be attached to the ongoing debate purporting that Malala was given grades by the university management in a fraudulent manner.
This comes after ODM popular blogger who is eyeing to be kileleshwa ward member of county assembly under Azimio La umoja coalition ticket posted that Malala has never completed his studies and he should be barred by the IEBC from contesting the gubernatorial seat in Kakamega county.
Though the senator was given time to explain his educational background, it was clear that he is not confident in the year when he graduated and his he obtained his degree.
