Constitutional advocate and seasoned political commentator Willis Otieno, he has allegedly explained why Kenyans are fed up with President William Samoei Arap Ruto’s Presidency.
Through an Exclusive Interview with Evans Okinyi on Professor Herman Kamarike Manyora’s YouTube channel. Willis Otieno was on record saying that even if it happens that Ruto constructs a road with Gold. He won’t recover the loss from Kenyans.
Otieno points out that many of Ruto’s campaign promises remain unfulfilled, particularly those related to the economy, job creation, and poverty alleviation. He argues that the citizens are growing impatient as they feel that they were sold a vision that has not yet materialized.
The rising cost of living, inflation, and job insecurity are other significant concerns raised by Otieno. Despite promises to improve the economy and create opportunities for the youth, many Kenyans feel that their financial situation is worsening, leading to widespread discontent.
Otieno also mentions the public’s frustration with the lack of accountability in the government’s spending and handling of public funds. The ongoing issues with corruption, mismanagement of resources, and unanswered questions surrounding government projects are contributing factors to the public’s disillusionment.
Otieno believes that President Ruto’s approach to governance, particularly his communication style and relationship with the opposition, may be alienating some sections of the population. Many Kenyans are calling for a more inclusive and empathetic leadership that prioritizes unity and national cohesion.
In essence, Willis Otieno’s statement suggests that the current frustrations reflect a larger feeling of disillusionment among Kenyans with President Ruto’s presidency, urging the government to take these concerns seriously and work towards addressing them.
