Raila Slams Gachagua, Says He Won’t Work With ‘Man of Traps’ & Raila, Ruto’s 2027 Deal Sealed in Surprise Move

It is a lovely, dry, and dusty Thursday morning, and the ‘scramble and petition’ for Raila Odinga in Kenya’s political sphere seems to have been sealed.

While Gachagua and his opposition allies retreat to assemble their armory ahead of 2027, Ruto is smiling all the way to ‘Bondo’ with Raila’s support now appears to be edging closer.

This comes just hours after the new House departmental committees was successfully handed over to Raila Odinga’s ODM party. ODM has bagged crucial House committees, including the Budget and Appropriation Committee, which was initially chaired by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.

But even before sand settles on this, Ruto and Raila are set to sign a coalition agreement today,

According to reports, Ruto and opposition chief Raila Odinga are today expected to formalise their political marriage in a deal that will hand ODM a near-equal share of government. This will take place at KICC.

Reports have established that the two leaders are set to sign a coalition agreement today — effectively removing ODM from the opposition — and ending speculations that Raila could join the ruthless campaign to make Ruto a one-term president.

The deal will be signed publicly at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. Sources said Raila will control 50 percent of government and is expected to nominate at least three more Cabinet Secretaries.
