Even his wife, Agnes, has not been spared, as some of the youths have also been trying to reach her. Despite the pressure, Pastor Mwai maintains that President Ruto did not leave him with any money.
Meanwhile, last Sunday the President pledged Sh20 million in Mwai’s Church as he assured them of another support of Sh100 million, a move that has angered many Kenyans, especially the Gen-Z.
The situation has escalated, with some youths now threatening to hold demonstrations at the pastor’s church this coming Sunday. They want answers about the pledge and are demanding accountability.
