Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Nyagah, who was being given a report by a family member, said the kindhearted people engaged his wife.
“One of my wife’s kin is a bishop and among the strangers, one knew him and had his number. They called him and explained what had happened. He immediately headed to the place and met the strangers and my wife,” Nyagah said.
He said his wife was taken to a hospital in Nanyuki to establish if his wife had any underlying medical condition that could be affecting her before being taken home.
Nyagah reunites with wife before she disappears again
Nyagah said his wife looked weak as she had been missing for over a week and it seemed she had not been eating.
“She was malnourished and her feet were swollen. I do not know how she got to Maai Mahiu but she must have been walking. We thank God that she is safe and in good hands. She will continue going to the hospital, take medications and take counselling sessions to determine the state of her mental wellness.
We are and were worried when she left home that evening, not telling anyone where she was going. She wore a hoodie and left home. Earlier that day I had reunited with her after she went missing again. We do not know what the issue is, but we are offering our full support to her and ensuring she is stable,” Nyagah said.
Is it the first time Wangui has gone missing?
Nyagah noted it was not the first time Wangui had left home, though in many circumstances, she always knew where she was.
She would say where she was going and would keep in touch with her family from time to time, letting them know she was safe.
“We are not pressuring her to talk or explain anything to us. We are giving her time to heal and go through the process of getting better until she is stable. That is all that matters to us right now, that she is okay and with us,” he added.
