Cracks Widen in Ruto’s Camp as Gachagua Reveals How He Was Blocked from Attending Mashujaa Day

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has come out saying he was blocked from attending the Mashujaa Day celebrations in Kwale County, all because of orders from above.

After getting out of Karen Hospital, Gachagua claimed that there were serious attempts to keep him from being part of the national event.

Gachagua explained that all helicopter owners were told not to let him use their aircraft to get to the venue.

“They were trying hard to make sure I didn’t go to Kwale for the celebration. Wilson Airport was informed that I couldn’t go through there. All helicopter owners were instructed not to let me use any of their choppers to fly to Kwale. I really don’t get it,” he said.

The former Deputy President also raised concerns about his safety, pointing out that his security detail was pulled after his impeachment.

“As I head home today, I’m without any security, and I hope they know that. If anything happens to me or my family, President William Ruto should be held responsible,” Gachagua added.

Gachagua’s impeachment was confirmed by the Senate, which led to him losing his position. He faced charges including corruption, insubordination, and undermining the government.

After the impeachment, President Ruto appointed Kithure Kindiki as the new Deputy President, shaking up the political scene within the ruling coalition.

News of Gachagua being blocked from Mashujaa Day celebrations has stirred mixed feelings among the public.

Some people see it as a necessary security measure, while others believe it’s an attempt to further isolate the former Deputy President. Supporters of Gachagua are outraged and are calling for an investigation into the orders that kept him from attending the event.
