Plans are underway to replace Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as the second in command of the country, and President William Ruto is already planning to convene a special sitting as early as Friday this week to consider the next deputy.
According to a report by the People Daily Newspaper headline today, plans are on already on top gear for President William Ruto to replace Gachagua in case the besieged DP is ousted from power by the senate tomorrow. The head of state is set to convene a special sitting on Friday to consider the appointment of new deputy president.
Immediately after Gachagua’s impeachment trial tomorrow where the Senate is highly likely going to uphold the DP’s impeachment, President William Ruto is reportedly planning to convene a special house sitting to pick the new deputy. There several names who are currently being internalized for the DP nomination.
