Uhuru’s Cousin Muigai Defends Ruto Declares Kikuyu Elders Will Stand with Ruto Despite Uhuru’s Stand

President Uhuru’s cousin and Kiama kia Ma elder Kungu Muigai has once again defended deputy president William Ruto against the president’s attacks.

Speaking at Kikuyu radio station Muoroto FM on Monday, July 11, 2022 morning show, Kungu cautioned Kenyans against voting for Raila Odinga despite the president siding by him.

Kungu Muigai said that Uhuru is being unfair to Ruto as he has never claimed one thing the DP did that angered him. All the reasons he has issued before have no basis nor any proof to substantiate his allegations according to Muigai.

He also revealed details discussed during the Mt Kenya elders meeting with Ruto at Karen. Kungu said that the elders asked Ruto what transpired between them and Uhuru that led to their bitter divorce.

Ruto said that he has never understood what happened as he has never wronged the president. He pleaded with the elders to find the truth from the president.

Kungu Muigai also revealed that the Kiama ka Ma elders vowed to honor the pledge they made with Ruto and Kalenjin elders to support his bid after Uhuru’s term.

He also said that the elders may not have enough numbers to automatically elect Ruto but they are gifted in talking to Kenyans and Mt Kenya residents. Kungu promised to kick start campaigns for Ruto through the Kikuyu elders.
