Former Prime Minister Honorable Raila Odinga has today slammed a section of ODM party members who have been attacking his recent decision to work with President William Samoei Ruto under the broad-based government initiative.

Raila stated clearly that his move should not be misinterpreted as forming a coalition with the ruling UDA party or joining the government.

He emphasized that his decision was purely driven by the need to safeguard the interests and stability of the country.

Raila addressed growing concerns within the ODM party, where some members have expressed dissatisfaction and accused him of betraying the opposition’s role.

However, the veteran politician maintained that his priority is national unity and peace, not political gain.

He called on his critics to focus on the bigger picture and support efforts that foster national cohesion and development.

He reiterated that his cooperation with President Ruto is not based on power-sharing or political arrangements but rather on mutual understanding for the good of the nation.

Raila urged all leaders to act responsibly and avoid divisive rhetoric that could derail the country’s progress.

He maintained that Kenya’s stability and the welfare of its people come before party politics or personal interests.
