Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has been rated the best-performing MP in Kenya in 2025. This is according to the latest research by Info Polls released on Tuesday.
Info Polls ranked Barasa on top with 84.7%, followed closely by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Kiharu’s Ndindi Nyoro who both tied in second position with a rating of 77.7%.
President Ruto’s close ally and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa was ranked third with 74.4% with Dagorretti South MP John Kiarie coming fourth with 71.4%. Uriri MP Mark Nyamita was also ranked fourth same as Kiarie.
Those who appeared in the top 22 MPs included Patrick Makau (Mavoko), Gathoni Wamuchomba (Githunguri), Mohamed Abdikheir (Lafey), Mohamed Ali Jicho Pevu (Nyali), Farah Maalim (Dadaab) and Victor Koecxh of Chepalungu who finished in top 10.
Others were Titus Khamala (Lurambi), Irene Njoki (Bahati), Matianne Kitany (Aldai), Fredrick Ikana (Shinyalu,) Vinncent Musyoki (Mwala,) Silvanus Osoro (South Mugirango), Julius Rutto (Kesses), Nelson Koech (Belgut), Adan Keynan (Aldas), Mwangi Kiunjuri (Laikipia East) Brighton Yegon (Konoin) and Owen Baya of Kilifi North
The rankings comes just a day after Embakasi East MP Babu Owino hinted at a possible joint presidential bid with his Kiharu counterpart, Ndindi Nyoro.
Speaking when he appeared for a show at Hot 96 Breakfast show, the MP outlined a list of potential allies, including notable leaders such as Kalonzo Musyoka, Edwin Sifuna, James Orengo, Eugene Wamalwa, Gladys Wanga, Irungu Kang’ata, and George Natembeya
According to Babu, having been a leader since his earlier days as a university student leader at the University of Nairobi, he has gathered extensive experience that qualifies him to run for the top seat.
