Birds told this column that the county boss engaged the big man after the function hoping to unlock the infrastructure pledges but the big man, ever the master of political theatre, wasn’t about to let bygones be bygones without a show of repentance. Word has it that the county chief left with more humility than he arrived with. Already, residents are worried that his combative politics may slow down development in the area with performance records also attracting questions. Looks like the lion may purr before it roars again.
