Veteran musician Nameless is grieving the loss of his father, Mzee Joshua Mathenge, who passed away just weeks after family celebrated his 88th birthday.On Tuesday, April 15, Nameless shared an emotional update, offering fans a glimpse into their serene village home where fellow artists paid a visit to console the family.

He shared images of the living room, a warm and tastefully furnished space that reflects both elegance and comfort.
The inviting setup, featuring personal touches and a homely charm, mirrors the love and unity that has long characterized the Mathenge household.
“Some industry friends passed by to give mum their condolences,” Nameless captioned the post.
“Meanwhile, I just want to thank you for all the kind messages of support, compassion and prayers during this time. My family appreciates! They go a long way! We lay Dad to rest this Thursday,” he added.Nameless often celebrated the close relationship he shared with his father. In 2020, he publicly expressed gratitude when Mzee Mathenge recovered from a serious health scare that required head surgery.
Last December, he honoured his parents on their 60th wedding anniversary, calling them his lifelong inspirations.
The family also marked Mzee Mathenge’s 88th birthday last year with a heartfelt celebration. Nameless fondly recalled his father’s pride in his children and the wise counsel he regularly shared.
“He reminded us to embrace correction and growth in all relationships,” Nameless reflected. “He always said we don’t know everything, and that it’s okay to be corrected.”
Following the passing, Nameless and his wife, Wahu, penned touching tributes. Wahu remembered him as a man of great wisdom and humility, whose legacy will live on through the lives he touched.
