When should baby be introduced to bottled milk

Clinical officer George Omondi told TUKO.co.ke that a baby can be introduced to bottled milk from three weeks old.

“At between three and six weeks of age, once breastfeeding is well established and the baby is latching well. When the breast has no milk, over time, the mum’s breasts will return to their pre-pregnancy state. The mother should focus on frequent and effective milk removal through breastfeeding or pumping, along with a healthy diet and hydration,” he said.
