Women Senators to address the press on upcoming GBV campaign


Kenya Women Senators Association (KEWOSA), led by the chairperson Veronica Maina, will address the media on the upcoming campaign on gender-based violence (GBV) and femicide.

The will also discuss the current leadership of the association.

IEBC interviews

The search for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners continues today, with six candidates scheduled to appear.

Those on lined up are James Leiro Letangule, James Nyamongo, Jane Apatet Nashida, Jane Chege Gitonga, Jephthah Njagi Karingo and John Bosco Akaale.

The exercise, which commenced March 27, concludes April 25, 2025.

After this, the Panel will then forward the names of successful individuals to the President for appointment.

It will select two persons qualified to be appointed chairperson and nine persons qualified to be appointed as members of the Commission and forward it to the President.

The President will then nominate one person for appointment as the chairperson and six persons for appointment as members.

Within seven days after receiving the names, the President will forward the list of nominees to the National Assembly for approval.
