William Ruto’s bodyguard falls from a speeding vehicle
In a related story in May 2022, there was a moment of shock when then deputy president William Ruto’s bodyguard fell from a speeding vehicle shortly after a campaign rally.
Ruto, his running mate Rigathi Gachagua, and other leaders had concluded their campaign activities in Kajiado County. As the convoy was leaving, the bodyguard, who had been hanging on the door of a luxurious vehicle, lost his grip and tumbled onto the road.
Surprisingly, several vehicles in the convoy drove past without stopping to assist him. Luckily, a quick-thinking motorbike rider flagged down a car, which allowed the bodyguard to get a ride.
