George Oduor’s Wife Reveals Detail’s of Raila’s Last Conversation With Bodyguard While In ICU

Carol Oduor, widow to Raila’s long serving bodyguard shares some of the behind the scenes intrigues and final hours of her later husband. In an interview with Nation, she even shared other aspects of their marriage in their heydays as he described Oduor as a man with two personalities. That despite being or looking very strict in public, he was actually a reserved and a typical witty husband in the house.

About Raila’s last conversation with Oduor, Carol says that Raila came with George in the Intensive Care Unit. He was deeply concerned at him being in that state. He then sat beside him and encouraged George not to fear and went on to assure him that he would recover. That Raila then told him not to worry about the hospital bill that had now hit 2 million, and that he would clear it for him.

She adds that George miraculously got life after that and the next day he could talk, when they managed three hour conversation. Unbeknownst to her, this would be one of their last real conversations. May he rest in peace. A true servant he was.
